Reasons Why You Should Use a Wallpaper in Your Home.

Taking a long glimpse back in time – as far back as 1700, one would see that wallpapers has been one of the major materials that make up the interiors of a home but of course it came as a result of one not being able to bask in the glory of its predecessor. I would love to tell you all about the history between tapestries and wallpapers but let’s leave that story for another day. Wallpapers as the name implies is a material mostly made out of paper which is used to cover the interior walls of a residential or commercial building. Wallpapers also serve as a better option if you are one who doesn’t like too much painting.

I have been to a lot of homes and commercial places and I must say that it’s either most people have no idea of the existence of wallpapers or they just don’t like them…well, below are some reasons why you consider using a wallpaper.

Everyday new buildings keep popping up on our streets and after plastering, the next thing one should expect is painting right? But wouldn’t you love to burst a few bubbles and leave them thinking “I bet they painted their interior walls like everyone else” –

You just moved into your new home and friends and well-wishers come visiting, the one thing that will attract their attention asides the hanging frames and pieces is the painting. Yes, that’s some very nice painting but it seems so normal because everyone paints. If you wish to really impress, then you have to introduce something new and nothing impresses like something no one or only a few have and no matter your choice of wallpaper, it always leaves an impression and something to think about.

Wallpapers come in a thousand wonderfully and carefully made designs, there’s something for everyone. The good thing about wallpapers is that it’s applicable on any industrial surface be it metal, glass or concrete. It’s also able to withstand wear and tear and very much easy to clean.

Speaking of unlimited choices, wallpapers are great decorative materials and there’s a wide range of selections for you to choose from. If you have troubles selecting a good paint combination for your kid’s room, try using wallpapers – there’s something for everybody.

·         FOR THE LOVE OF DESIGN

If your wallpaper is textured, the texture may be visible even after the wall is painted. To avoid this, it is best to remove the wallpaper from the wall. Water-based paints and primer may reactivate the wallpaper glue resulting in unwanted peeling. To avoid, prime wallpaper with an oil-based primer to seal the surface.
